Cookie Policy

1. About This Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Parseloom, Inc. ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on parseloom.com (the "Site"). It supplements our Privacy Policy. Parseloom is an Austin-based document extraction service; our cookie use is limited to what is needed to operate the Site and understand how back-office teams use our product -- we run no advertising network and place no third-party marketing cookies.
2. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow us to recognise your device, store preferences, and measure usage. We also use related technologies such as local storage (including the cookie-banner dismissal state stored in your browser).
3. How We Use Cookies
| Category | Examples | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | session, CSRF token, cookie-banner state | session - 12 months |
| Preferences | language, dashboard layout | up to 12 months |
| Analytics | self-hosted analytics, anonymised page visits and feature usage | up to 13 months |
| Marketing | not currently used | - |
4. Notice and Choice
By continuing to use the Site, you acknowledge our use of cookies as described above. You can opt out of analytics cookies through our cookie banner (accessible at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer) or by configuring your browser to block cookies.
5. Universal Opt-Out Signals
Where applicable state law requires (for example, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and Oregon), we honour browser-transmitted opt-out signals such as the Global Privacy Control ("GPC") for sale and targeted-advertising categories. Because we do not sell personal information or engage in targeted advertising, receipt of a GPC signal suppresses analytics initialisation on that session as a precautionary measure.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies may be set by third parties acting as our service providers (for example, analytics infrastructure). We have agreements with such providers limiting their use of data to operating the Service on our behalf.
7. Managing Cookies
- Use our cookie banner (re-open via the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer) to opt out of analytics.
- Browser settings allow you to block or delete cookies; see aboutcookies.org for instructions per browser.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from functioning correctly.
8. Changes and Contact
We may update this policy as our cookie use changes. The "Last updated" date will reflect any change. Questions about our cookie practices can be sent to:
